WTF Series 1 represents LolCow TCG's sixth set release. This 5-card collection was released through an innovative multi-phase distribution strategy that rewarded early supporters and collectors alike.
The series began with monthly textured promo card releases starting in January 2024. Each month, one card from the set was released as a special textured promo, building anticipation for the complete collection over five months.
Following the completion of the monthly promo releases, the full WTF Series 1 Collection launched on May 1st, 2024. The collection was packaged in functional game cartridge cases—a first for the trading card industry—available in two distinct editions.
The Gray Edition (200 copies, $24.99 MSRP) contains all 5 cards on standard cardstock in non-foil finish. The Gold Edition (100 copies, $44.99 MSRP) features complete holofoil versions of all 5 cards with both the cards and case serialized from 000 to 100.
Both editions were sealed with tamper-proof stickers and shrink wrap for authentication. The cartridge cases are fully functional and can be used as replacement NES cartridges or for Raspberry Pi projects. This set will never be printed again.
